(26,312 posts)You wouldn't believe this, but after days of digging around last Thanksgiving, I just moved the Microwave problem to the 2012 ToDo list. I couldn't find a blasted thing to help me and calling the Manufacturer's CS line was like talking to someone in Greece who only spoke Russian.
I need to replace the control panel as I stupidly kept spraying cleaner on it and now it has moisture behind it and some of the panel hotspots aren't working.
*10 seconds* on that site and I found the motherlode:

(26,312 posts)LG screwed the pooch here by not treating their authorized repair people right. There used to be 6 such repair companies within 10 miles of me, but now there are none, and I was told by 2 that they dropped their agreements with LG because they either weren't getting paid for warranty work, or it took many many months to get payment. I am self pay as the warranties are long expired, but was told they didn't have access to parts any longer and had to decline the repair work.
The last time I needed a repair to the fridge for a locked up water line about 2 years ago, the closest authorized LG guy to me was a 3 hour drive (!!) and as is customary, included travel time in the labor charge.
So cheetos it is, my friend.
