Household Hints & Help
Related: About this forumMy refrigerator broke over last weekend...
The freezer part works fine, but the bottom is at 80 degrees.
Insulin is shot, but that's the only thing really important and replacements are on the way. Everything milk, including a gallon and 2 quarts of half and half are shot. Cheese is mostly shot and any other leftovers in there are unusable. And very nasty.
Mayo? Don't ask. I'm really fascinated by howcum in this cheap old fridge there's only one compressor for the freezer and the fridge part gets cold air from the freezer, but that's been cut off. Should be fixable, but damed if I know how without taking it apart.
Anyway, I'm not bothering the property owners now since I'll only be here a few more months and a complete renovation of the house will start. Checked out various mini fridges in the area and I can get a nice countertop fridge for 200 bucks or less. Eat up the frozen food and a 2 or 3 cubic ft fridge is all I need for 2 months.
I hope.

(43,049 posts)The local town dump used to have such a recycling effirt, and I remember years ago wandering around "used" stores, but I have no idea if any are still around.

(17,510 posts)chairs and tables for the pool area. $100 for 6 chairs and 4 tables. One table, new would have been more than that.
