(15,199 posts)Eight of fourteen cats are from the neighborhood cat hoarder who died. He and his brotherwho is now in care with dementiahad twelve cats in deplorable conditions. Im working on getting them rehomed. Are you, by any chance, in the Pittsburgh area and in need of a cat?

(6,960 posts)So far they've gotten 2 free benches made from the materials they collected, and they're still doing it.
You might want to have your local library, senior center, school, or other organization look into doing the same.

(29,517 posts)Thinking about the environmental cost of purchasing new trash bags now, which are thicker and larger than what we need. Weve started using paper bags but they dont fit and arent durable when they get damp. Happy about the new law, overall, of course!
