Is there any connection between the hack and virus/malware/spyware? Or totally separate?
It great to be back with all us DUers, and back here for Help! See this thread in GD, X-posting my stuff below from there: http://www.democraticunderground.com/10028287194
Starting during the hack, I began getting (what - virus/malware/spyware?) attacks, Blocked by my antivirus software.
So far, there are 24 Blocks in my History, below (except the first two which are apparently the video in the hack itself). Should I erase all my History (won't affect my Cookies, right?) ? Is there something I can/should do to rid the whatever/malware/spyware/virus? So is it the result of the hack?
Do you see anything in these codes that can be pertinent to anything? I used partials and inserted spaces in the gobbledegook so as not to spread anything?

(5,966 posts)I was online here during the first and second exploits. I was posting during the second one. My protection logs don't show anything weird.
You might try this to see if it removes the ps4ux stuff:

(5,966 posts)I would do steps 1-3, but often ADWcleaner is enough to clear everything up. I use all of the programs in steps 1-3, but I've never run across Ps4ux.

(72,407 posts)It's late, am thinking of skipping #3 for now.
Should I clear all History that has those bad links or have they already been cleaned out?
Plus, I'm thinking to Delete the downloads for the two programs used. Will check back. Thanks again!1

(5,966 posts)Malwarebytes comes in handy. I always recommend scanning with it periodically, depending on your surfing habits. Make sure you click the update button before scanning (updates malware signatures to deal with any new nasty stuff).
Clearing history couldn't hurt and it's probably something we should all do every now and again. I'd clear everything (history, cache, cookies) if I thought I was infected. I forget if ADW clears cookies associated with bad sites, but I suspect it does. If you're in doubt, a quick scan with HitmanPro (step 4, I think) does wonders with bad cookies if you go to its settings and make sure Scan for Tracking Cookies is checked.
Here's a good download for HitmanPro: http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/download/hitmanpro/
