Try to select the [windows] + L, that should bring you to the login screen.

If you can get to the login screen you bring it up in SafeMode, and trouble-shoot the issue, including restoring the last go version.

If you can get to the login in screen, with your left hand keep the (Shift) key pressed, and with the mouse select the Power icon on the bottom right, and select restart from the drop down. Keep your finger on the restart key, and it should boot up diagnostic mode, with appropriate menus

thing was updating or something, but at least I know how to get it back if it does it again.
