Does anyone here use "Filehippo"?

I like it because it tells me when my stuff has updates, and I've used it for about a year.

But lately I get a message that it's not connecting. (see below)
I've uninstalled it and reinstalled it without success.

Any ideas, or can you suggest an alternative?

thanks

Not enough info such as which Filehippo App (Update Checker, App Manager Beta) whether FileHippo is an installed app or running standalone .exe. If it's an installed application did you try to update it or uninstall then re-install again? (Edit: I see you have)

If you're using the Beta App Manager (as I suspect) you're not alone... check the app's comment page, 333 & growing. Normally apps get a handful of replies on FH's comments page. Steer clear of Betas IMO. FileHippo makes a nice "Update Checker" which I've used in the past: http://filehippo.com/updatechecker+ Run it as installed or standalone.

Currently I use SUMo (Free) Software Update Monitor

Take care to download the version(s) containing NO adware
