Busted my Galaxy S5. Have a backup and recently cloned the defunct phone but the busted phone

has some info in Memo form. I have Smart Switch on both phones and the old phone boots and the LEDs come on but the screen is non reactive so I can't see to start SS. Is there a way to retrieve the Memos from the old phone?

and retrieve the files that way.

ETA: If you plug your phone charger into a USB port on your laptop or desktop you should be able to look at everything that's on your phone. You'll see something like "Samsung" in whatever drive you used (d, e, f...) using file explorer. Double click and all your files should show up like when you use any other USB flash drive device. Take it from there. Copy/paste.
