at the bottom, and a context menu comes up. Then hit delete.

2. If you are talking about workbooks, then just delete the file

and start a new workbook. In VBA, We use workbook to distinguish which file to use. Yes a file can contain multiple workbooks, but that is not good in a shared/server environment. So I just use one workbook (that can contain many worksheets) per file.

With a mac you locate, open, move and delete files via a "Finder" window.

Each workbook (file) in excel may have multiple worksheets. They are all in the one workbook (file). Typically excel displays a row of tabs across the bottom of the excel window. Each worksheets gets a tab. Deleting a worksheet is done from inside excel. Deleting a workbook would be done from a Finder window.
