Could be the result of 3rd party software recently installed, many sneakily also install or change search engine and/or homepage if one is not careful to "uncheck" unwanted/unneeded options during installation.

Could be a "Potentially Unwanted Program" (PUP) Malware.
Browser hijacked/Virus, could be more nefarious than a PUP.

Recommend a scan using any of these free antimalware programs:
