I now have wifi capability...For downloading apps for a drone...

I installed a netgear wireless ac adapter..AC600 Dual Band..

Can I now run a tablet if I buy one? I'm trying to get setup for flying a drone with realtime video.
From what I've read, this can be done with a smart phone, which I don't have, a tablet or there are now
smart controllers that have an integrated screen, which require apps to be downloaded to setup the drone.

And if you don't have a pilot's license you may want to check the laws in your location, as it is required in all the places I know about, for drone operation.

"DJI Go App"..according to the tech guy..sets up any requirements needed by the authorities..

If I buy a smart phone, I either have to pay a higher monthly to virgin mobile or get another
provider...as far as I know...

While recreational flyers may continue to fly below 400 feet in uncontrolled airspace without specific certification or operating authority from the FAA, they are now required to obtain prior authorization from the FAA before flying in controlled airspace around airports. Furthermore, they must comply with all airspace restrictions and prohibitions when flying in controlled and uncontrolled airspace.

You can get Smart phones from another source and not have that hassle or the large expense like by getting a refurbished device. You can try Cellular County. Here's the phone number: 866 951 2355.

Ready made...

May change my mind...Pretty pricey with the smart controller..I can buy one that would hold the tablet..Probably be around 500$ cheaper..plus having a larger screen...
