The update is free, I updated to W-10, and made it look exactly like I was running Windows-7.
It is actually running a bit faster, and without a single problem so far in a week, running 8 hours a day.

My windows 7 computer would be way too slow with the large update of Windows 10. I will probably just work it off-line now.

One is Acer notebook with 2GB RAM and the other has 4GB.
The 3rd laptop I bought last year came with W-10 installed,
and has only 2GB RAM and very small 30GB SSD hard disk. Updates without any problems.

Then I read a blog about how the upgrade from Windows-7 to 10 is free and easy.
The Acer notebook is basically a spare computer so I said why not try it.
Note that I have used W-7 for so many years, and I am old and did not like learning a new OS.
But the article also showed how to make W-10 look and feel just like W-7 with the start menu and all.
So I took the bait, and happy I did.

My computer guy friend put it together for me. We have replaced a few things over the years.

Couldn't reboot. Did the F8 key a hundred times before I got the ability to re-image it. No more updates for me.
