(38,726 posts)The Explorer Brouser still works. I have often used Chrome for a number of reasons. It is not even connecting to the net. It kind of winks at me, then doesn't connect. I am grateful that the Explorer still works.
.......and Thank You for responding to this question..I know very little on how this works, except it works.
........Thanks Again for your ideas...

Well, without a lot of extra steps.
Since IE works I'd suggest the simplest option is to try and re-install Chrome.
Assuming it worked before and subsequently broke, a re-installation can often fix the problem.
Its free and you got nothing to lose since it doesnt work right now!

(38,726 posts)this, but I used to be a History Teacher, (U.S. and Modern) and I had the students in my high school classes correct my spelling. They thought it was cute too. It often got laughs, because I was the teacher and couldn't spell.....(and I still can't spell)..

I click on run, and then the picture erases itself, and no download is completed. Then I try to start over, and it does the same thing..over and over and over.

(4,635 posts)My problem was old router security protocols; too frustrating to try to update firmware drivers as well; so got a new router. Got a VPN mostly for location hiding and snooping stuff, and some adware/malware - there's networking protection stuff too on the chosen anti-virus pkg... Now, seldom any problems 24/7; knock on wood!
Got a bunch of browsers on this machine just in case...hahaha, Edge, Firefox, Chrome, Tor, Brave with different search engines for the great surfing expeditions to the end of the Internet, LOL!
I've been using Brave (based on Chrome) w/DuckDuckGo searching to view DU; Chrome for most everything else - smooth sailing so far!
