Microsoft starts rolling out Windows 10 update with Edge browser enhancements

The Windows 10 October 2020 Update, aka version 20H2, irons out technical and security issues and provides a handful of software enhancements.

Opera is my default browser. I also use Firefox, Brave and Vivaldi-- I should try it on others, but.

Thought about it, but all seems ok. And it's odd that only a few things screw up.

going back to square one, and that caused even more problems-- data I thought I saved didn't save.
Now, I finally got Thunderbird to work, but other stuff is in the winds. One problem is that every time I open DU, I have to sign in again. Never had to do that before.
We shall see how this resolves.

but have you thought of hardware difficulties like a motherboard glitch as well as software problems?
