Here's a crazy thing.

Because my newish HP printer has given up the ghost before I even am into the second cartridge of ink.... I am having to find another way to print a 13 page important document. It's a Canadian government form that I have filled out online and must print. PDF. I printed it just fine with my printer that just failed. But now I need another copy. And so I copied the file to a thumb drive, inserted it into my daughters tablet, and tried to print it to her HP printer.

The forms printed. The information entered INTO the forms was blank. Nothing in those spaces.

Why in ever-lovin' heck would that be so?

Of the pdf form with a different name to the original?

You need to save it with the information you have entered into it, then print.

FedEx and filling them out by hand with the info from your screen? It's not exactly what you want but at least you'll have a copy and can send the other to wherever you need to.

including photos, to the pros. Cheap and good quality. Printers are built-in obsolescence, unless you get a very expensive commercial grade.

You can save them on your computer, but that is about it unless you have something other than the freebie Adobe.

So I'll have to connect a different printer to my laptop and try to print from the original that's saved there.

Because my HP printer, only on its second cartridge of ink, is dead in the water.

I swear, I would go back to a manual typewriter and a xerox machine if I could.

Remember that stuff! Gawd forbid a typo! Can you scan the document you printed or just make a copy of it and re-sign as a duplicate original?

But I need to print another copy for my sister. I assumed I would be able to do so from the copy I saved to file on my laptop. When I pull it up, all the info is there. When I saved it to a thumb drive and printed it from another printer, none of the blanks are filled in.

Crazy.
