Just came home from Walmart without my phone.
I know exactly where I had it last but went back to look for it and it is not there. People were nice and helpful but no one was found it. Trying to track it is crazy. I think I have the right info to sign in but nothing is working. Any ideas? thanks.

(15,000 posts)This is a fairly small Tx company which has had our account for years. (We had bag phones originally.)

(1,223 posts)If it's Android or Google you can try call my phone. I think it also shows where it is on a map. It's such a hassle when this happens! I hope you are able to recover it!

(15,000 posts)It is weird. I had it in my hand using it to get items my daughter asked for while she is at the ranch. i got a pencil sharpener that my gdaughters wanted, took it off my list and went to check out. When I came home it was no where to be found. Went back to the store to no available. Sad to see how dependent I am on that thing.

(15,000 posts)Moved all the seats and felt everywhere. But I appreciate your help. I even drove back to the place that I parked and searched with no luck. To me this is just weird.

(3,855 posts)use a computer to log onto icloud.com Use your apple ID to log in. Use Find my iPhone. You will see it on a map (if the feature was turned on), I think you can make it play a loud sound, put a message on the front of the phone.

(15,000 posts)Here is the kicker, my AT&T land line is not working but thankfully my internet is. I am in Texas so not close to TN.
Every iPhone requires that it be associated with an Apple ID. It is what is required if you install any apps from the store. It will be listed in Settings. It is an email address with a password.

(15,000 posts)I have a list of passwords for everything but to no avail. Thanks so much for trying to help.

(2,719 posts)iOS device. Two years ago, my wife and I were in a serious auto accident. We were T-boned and rolled several times. My phone was ejected and I didnt realize it was gone until I was released from the ER. Using my iPad, I determined that my phone was still at the accident scene. I drive to the location and pinged my phone with my Apple Watch. I located it on the roadside in the middle of some weeds, under several inches of loose dirt. Dont give up hope.

(15,000 posts)working so even if someone found my phone that person could not contact me. I feel like I am in some crazy movie after this happened and I came home to pick up my land line and it was buzzing blank.

Maybe this might help.

(15,000 posts)A iphone is certainly helpful but the health and safety of you both is more important. I never tell anyone here but my husband was killed in a head on collision many years ago so I know how life changing and horrifying these events are. Take care.

(2,719 posts)My wife lost most of her right hand in the accident and resulting infection. She got a bionic hand a year after the accident and has adapted very well. It was horrible but it brought us even closer together. I cant imagine what you went through. We both could have been killed and feel very fortunate to have survived. You know how fragile life is and how it changes in nanoseconds. Thank you for sharing.

(15,000 posts)Went back this morning and asked again. No was the answer. We only have one which was the same answer as it was when I went last night. Well just in case, let me see it. Sure enough was the same one but while she was digging around in the box, she found another one at the bottom and it was mine!!! Next time (hope there is not one.)I am going to ask that the person check their login page and not just some box to see if it or anything I have lost has been put into the lost and found.
Was so nice to have DUers around when I was freaking out last night. Thanks a big bunch to you all.

Right, like something from Twilight Zone, the world is cutting you off.

(15,000 posts)but looks like it is either locked or screwed down so will have to wait until the morning to mess with it. Can't even call those idiots so wanted to fix it myself and will try in the am. I do appreciate your input. Thanks.

(15,000 posts)Still nothing. Now that I have my cell phone, the first thing I am going to do is set up the app for finding ones phone and then see about getting my landline fixed.
Irish_Dem
(56,008 posts)You just set it up on your computer and it tells you where the phone is on a map.
And yes you can now get your land line fixed.
Soon you will be back on the grid.
