Firefox 89
The latest Firefox update to Version 89 introduces a redesigned user interface. I'm finding a couple of small annoyances, in particular, the leading (line spacing) of text in the menus has been greatly increased, I suppose to cater for stumpy fingers on tablets and phones.
To return to a semblance of normalcy do the following:
1. Type - 'about:config' in the address bar (no quotes)
2. Click 'show all'
3. Paste the following into search box: browser.proton.contextmenus.enabled
4. Change True to false
This is a workaround. There may be a better solution by editing CSS. I'll keep looking.

(18,122 posts)We don't call them Aust. Shepherds here! Great dogs.

(2,317 posts)Because these dogs are not Australian, but were created in America.

(18,122 posts)It should be koolie not coolie. They are not particularly common dogs here but I've never seen one as a working farm dog. Sort of strange they originate in the US.

(3,216 posts)I downrevv'd FF, and also started using Waterfox Classic for some things.
At least on my "main desktop."
So I can keep my Status4Ever bottom status line, and the addons that run from there, and the ability to see links better when hovered over. And I prefer the look of the old FF.
I do use newer versions of browsers on at least one laptop.
And I use other updated browsers for other things, but I need my status4Ever, at least, on my main PC.

I *HATE* 89. People across the street can probably read my tabs.
My mouse automatically goes to where things should be but no longer are.

Reading various computer boards and YouTube posts, it appears that about 75% of the comments on 89 are negative.

(18,122 posts)But have installed it and it seems like a good browser. Only just started customising and add-ons - so far everything seems to be importing OK and extensions are supported.
