Best (2021) web browser?
Historically, I've been a Mozilla/Firefox fan, but recently have started using Brave browser (supposedly very pro-privacy/security).
My new laptop has some abomination called "Edge" on it that needs to go away.
Are they all basically the same, or does it really make a difference anymore?

(46,976 posts)i recently installed it, but haven't used it much because I run Firefox and Chromium.
Opera has its own VPN, and opinions vary on it. But it is - free.
Firefox I have difficulty logging into one site, and popups still plague me here or there, even though I have ad blocker ultimate and ublock origin installed. So it was time to try something new. Opera is now compatible with Linux.

(5,589 posts)I mostly use Safari on my Mac, but when someone posts a video I copy the link and paste it into a Firefox window that I keep open, pretty much dedicated to YouTube videos.

Cant use brave to open links in emails. Dont know why, but it seems that works only with edge.

(18,122 posts)In 'Default Programs' to use Brave to open HTML? (Assuming you're on Windows)
But when you click on a site link in an email, It doesnt load properly. So I use edge gor opening email links. Otherwise my default browser is brave.

(1,576 posts)I run into so many sites that ask me to "allow" cookies, ads etc. Vivaldi does a wonderful job of blocking.
If I really need/want to get into the site (for exampleo uploading a video to Youtube) I will use Firefox.
