What kind of sorcery is this?
I am aware that sometimes if you search for things on the internet you will start getting ads of the items you were searching for....
But yesterday I was on 2 web sites looking at sneakers. One was Saucony and the other was Allbirds. 2 legit sites. I looked around for a few minutes. Today I had an e-mail from each of these sites. How did they get my e-mail address?
I marked them as spam and didn't open them.
I'm baffled as to how they got my email.

2. get an adblocker which blocks web bugs. (very small images)

3. depending on operating system, you have a card in your Address Book / Contacts which is designated as You. change that You to another card which is fake
theres a lot more that can be done. start with these

4b. block or allow javascript, cookies and more.
4c. One example is Omniweb for Mac.
4d. i have one browser set for Javascript to be off always . Advertising, login methods and malware often use Javascript

Javascript is on nearly every webpage.
Java is obsolete, buggy and holey and flatly unnecessary

I believe both allow aliased addresses. my terminology may be incorrect

I'll fiddle around tomorrow with some of your other suggestions.
