Has anyone experienced poor performance with Samsung
products? It seems like their tablets suck and their phones are about the same. Their customer service and could use a lot of work, too.

(20,065 posts)First cellphone I ever owned was a Galaxy S4. That was very reliable and lasted several years.
Then I purchased an A30 and only got 2.5 years out of it because the audio quality began to nosedive. However I dropped the phone on the ground twice and due to having a cheap case, it wasn't really well protected. I wound up with two hairline cracks across the screen. I'm fairly certain that the drops led to the audio problems.
So I picked up a refurbished Galaxy S9. I only got it a couple of months ago, but so far, so good.
Now, I could tell you a different story about an HP laptop that I owned. Biggest hassle related to defects. It took many, many hours on the phone with techs and sending it in three times for repairs, but the issue that cropped up during the one-year warranty period was never resolved and I finally got a replacement (and upgrade) laptop from them after several months of fighting.
How old are your tablet and phone?

(4,670 posts)I had one of their fridges for a few months before it started leaking water from behind the back panel into the veggie bin, and their customer "service" was horrible.

(61,994 posts)... none of them 'died' - they all were passed on to others. Never had a problem, and they were always less expensive that whatever I was comparing them to.
HIGHLY recommend Samsung.

(24,089 posts)We bought all new stove, microwave, refrig when we remodeled the house. Every one of them had trouble. They did replace the microwave, but it took multiple calls and over 6 months to get a repairman to come and then he had to order a part, which never arrived or was never installed. After 3 years of fighting, we finally replaced the refrig with a different brand.
We will never buy a Samsung product again, they don't stand behind their products which break quickly.

(7,894 posts)built like tanks and last for years. There are 5 of us so we have bought many over the years. Our old Samsung smart tv has the speaker going out but the picture is so good, I'm getting a good soundbar to use with it. I have heard their appliances are not great but they are the number one seller all over SE Asia.

(4,143 posts)In fact, they're all I'll buy at this point. Used to be a Sony man but their proprietary nonsense outweighed their performance.
I don't use anything else they make.

(37,681 posts)I took them to court over a dishwasher and they fought me tooth and nail. The dishwasher was new and had all kinds of problems, mostly lights going off and on with erroneous messages, failing to empty the rinse water; I simply could not believe anyone would put such a mess on the marketplace and expect to stay in business.
They did not live up to their warranty agreement.
So I did some research on them and found out they are a bad behavior company, failing to treat their employees well, and numerous other items I cannot recall. Doesnt surprise me Im the least you are having trouble with them.

(52,208 posts)and overall they got 1 1/2 stars out of 5 for the very reasons you mentioned.
