How do you get a Printer online on a Window's PC?
Drives me nuts, I know it's offline, but the HP app doesn't let me bring it back online.

Can you access 'Printers' via your Windows menu? If not do a search in settings and open the printer information which is in Bluetooth & Devices in Win 11.
Print queue - make sure it's clear. Make sure printer is set as default, ie has a green tick in circle. Maybe try a test page. If that works, you're good to go.

(18,657 posts)Even a printer connected by usb or printer port can be 'offline'. It generally means that the computer and printer are just not talking to each other, no matter how they are connected.
Since yours is wireless, easiest way to reset the wireless adapter is to restart your computer, and, as I said above, also the printer if necessary.

(16,120 posts)My ex called an impersonator that got her to install remote access software, which then installed malware. ( and didn't make the printer work, IIRC).
Forgot how she cleaned it up.
Wireless is a pain. Maybe the printer forgot the wireless password. I use Ethernet wherever possible. There's an outside chance you have to check the printer settings for wireless connectivity.
