Signing

Can’t I stay signed in. Every time I acknowledged a meme, I lose my place.and train of thought. Not nice when you lose vision. That s a3 x this A M this is meant on this subject. I am getting totally pissed off. Holding a magnifying glass and hitting keys with a ring finger is not a picnic. anyways Vote BLUE and Joe B iden kick ass

Computer has to stay powered or sleeping / hibernated. Or at least that is normal for sites, but I think DU might even log you back in automatically after a power cycle if you have checked the Stay Logged In box (not sure of exact wording).

It can happen accidentally. "Cookies" keep you logged in, and if you don't allow cookies, allow them for DU. Private browsing clears cookies for a site when you close its tab.

But when you click on a link in a post, get yourself into the habit of RIGHT clicking and chosing "Open link in new tab". This may seem slow and clumsy at first but pretty soon it will be a natural thing to do. The page you were reading stays right where it is and you can look at the meme and close it down.

Your browser probably has a setting to open all links in new tabs; maybe consider that. Either way, it will take a little adjusting on your part but it's worth your sanity. Soon it will become an automatic thing to do.
