If a new Windows 11 installation cannot see or play embedded videos (e.g., in browsers, PowerPoint), it is likely due to missing Media Feature Pack codecs, outdated graphics drivers, or browser setting issues.
Key Fixes:

Install Media Feature Pack: Go to Settings > System > Optional features, click View features, search for "Media Feature Pack," and install it.
Update Graphics Drivers: Download the latest drivers from Intel, AMD, or NVIDIA to ensure proper video rendering.
Check Browser Settings: Disable extensions (like ad blockers), clear cache, and enable JavaScript.

The latter has issues, but I just dread taking all the damned time necessary to get my newer one the way I need it to be.

Your browser needs to have all the settings updated to support YouTube, Twitter and Farcebook videos. Go to each of those sites and log in. Look at a video on each to make sure everything is right.
Then go back to DU. All should be right at that point. Let us know how this works out for you.
