iPhone 4S upgrade to iO6

Did not go smoothly

Well the actual upgrade was fine. I did it as a friend's house. But upon return home wi-fi connectivity slowed to a crawl. After much research, 100 pages on the apple forum with no solution and futility, I updated network settings. That worked. I had to guess.

And of course there was itunes working only after passbook set to one year in advance and then re-set to default . Only learned that work-around from an apple forums.

I'm very happy with the upgrade now, but not at the time. Such problems with a routine upgrade are unacceptable. Word gets around. Apple cannot let these little things slide. Takes a tremendos toll on the company's goodwill and these days a little goodwill goes a long way in fighting off competitors.

Woke up and did the final steps. No problems at all. I have a 64GB 4S. Passbook doesn't have anything to do with iTunes with my setup.

I'm not speaking from personal experience, just something I read a few days ago.

No adjustments. No defaulting.

I love the Panorama option on the camera!
