Need help.

I have a new ipod touch and discovered that in order to charge via my computer I have to have an updated itunes but in order to install itunes 10.5 I need at least OSX 10.5 or better. I am currently running OS X 10.4.11. OS x 10.5 is very expensive -- not sure why but it is. OSx 10.6 is cheaper. Can I go directly to 10.6 or do I have to install 10.5 first? What's the best way to approach this needed update. Thanks.

I think that if you buy a 10.6 disk you can get a 10.5 disk for free. Renew Deal Jan 2012 #1

But you should check. Maybe call Tekserve in NY. They can get you a straight answer and what you need.
