macbook air charger

does anyone else have this problem?
the charger cord on my air is so unstable. it just doesnt want to stick. since i have both a macbook and an air, i have one of those little adapters, and that sticks a little better than just the regular cord.

i am forever picking it up after i thought i had left it charging only to find the cord had either fallen all the way off, or detached just enough to stop the charge.

petty, but so very annoying.

I was having trouble with the older magsafes on the air, as if the contacts were just not contacting, and that's a problem.

And wtf did they change the design? I now have six or more adapters, two new and four old, and one Magsafe 1 to Magsafe 2 adapter device, much smarter than spending $70 for a second one.

Anyway, my older magsafes fall off all the time on the air, but the magsafe2 hardly ever comes off.

Maybe the new design has stronger magnets?

OBTW, I got water on the keyboard of the air, popped it in rice and it was ok for a while, then the power switch stopped working.

The power button is broken and can't be replaces separately and was going to cost hundreds to replace the top just because of the water but I found a way to crack open the case and jumper the power button.

But now I need to be sure it's left on and charged up all the time.

That's the breaks, I guess.

HEY, have you seen the new macbook?

Not super fast but super lean and comes in silver gold or grey.

And, get this, IT USES A DIFFERENT CHARGER!

Actually it only has one port for everything (except headphones which has its own)

Everything into one hole.

I'll see what the reviews are like but might be tempted to turn in my new Pro that I bought at BestBuy and get this thing.

first, oh goody, none of the old peripherals will work without a new cord.
but one port? i cant run a add on monitor and charge at the same time? oh goody.

i think i will hang on to what i have. i dont need the full power often, but when i need it i need it.

7. Yea, welcome to needing to buy a dozen different cables at $29/each.

Power and data in one port.

That would make it tough at presentations-- for an all day workshop I already need the power in, a presenter's device on USB, often a USB flash drive, and USB phone charging cable in use simultaneously.

well, two. His older, smaller one and the one I gave him when I was done with Mac. The newer Pro that I gave him loses connection all the time it seems. The older one does not but then he does not use it in the same way. I only know because I hear him get upset about it all the time.

I bet the magnets are not as strong as the older ones.

I know nothing, this probably is no help at all.

they made them thinner, so there is just less surface to click, and it is a different geometry.

i'm glad to know it is not just me. i thought i might have gotten some gunk in there.
