Questions regarding wifi and wired connection.

I have a great wired connection for my iMac. I plan to run a wifi connection to another part of my house. I recently bought a mac base station time capsule and a mac airport extreme, for that purpose.

Can I still run the wired connection in my office, where the iMac & modem are located, and also have the wifi connection?

Is it difficult to set up the wifi connection?

If I find that I want even further range (the walls in my house are super old, extremely thick with adobe and some weird screen wiring inside that) can I just get a $30 range extender or do you recommend that I get another $99 airport extreme for the extension?

Thanks very much, to anyone who feels like helping me out.

It's been so long since I set up the network that I no longer remember exactly how I did it, but there is a set-up assistant somewhere under utilities. I think.
