Preparing for iPad 3.

Went all in on Evernote. Getting a Clear 4G hotspot. I want my stuff everywhere.

Skipped 1 and 2, and if you know me, that was really difficult.

My wife has a 2, and I finally see a use for the damn thing.

Double resolution, faster CPU. In March.

Can't wait.

1. Will there be any way I can use my cellular USB modem on it?

I couldn't see buying a 3G iPad2 while I pay monthly for a cellular USB modem, so went with a MBAir, which is great, but I hate Apple for two things: lack of that USB connectivity and it would be great if you could order an internal cellular modem in a MBP or MBA like netbooks have.

2. No. But these days using a hotspot device providing WiFi access is more and more common.

That way any WiFi enabled device, such as a MacBook Air or an iPad can connect.

Most providers sell them.

And you can buy a WiFi only iPad which will save you enough on the iPad to pay for the hotspot.

But a lot of places I need to have connectivity don't have a hot spot, so I pay for a wireless USB connect device, or work pays $80/month for it.

I take my newest 11" Air around and except for the fact that the modem sticks out, it's as handy as a iPad.

No matter what version.

I charged my original iPhone the other day and was amazed how nice it felt.

Your 1 will be good for years. This will be my first iPad. Can't wait!

and I'm posting from my 4S now ...

I know I don't NEED an iPad 3. So why do I want one?? My husband works there; you'd think I'd be immune by now
