Related: About this forumNeed advice for a database program
I've been collecting information for a songwriting team in order to create a catalog of their works. Does anyone have any suggestions for a software database program for Mac computers? I could use Excel but it's not really quite the right thing.
Thanks!

(10,252 posts)Apache OpenOffice for Mac is free. It has robust writer, spreadsheet, database, slide presentation, and math components. Check it out. The price is right.

(779 posts)I love Filemaker Pro. It is cross-platform and has lots of wonderful features but it is quite pricey ($329).
You might check out Ninox Database ($35). Good reviews on the Mac OS X app store.
iDatabase sounds like it might work for you, too. ($28).
I have not tried either of those, just Filemaker.

Thanks for reminding me, Louis1895!

(779 posts)If you go the FMP route, the Filemaker Go app for the iPhone is free and may be useful to access your DB from your phone.
The other two apps I mentioned appear to have iPhone capabilities at some level, I think.
