ive been a mac driver for a while . also using skype skype all of the sudden

needs something called keychain . what is key chain. do i need it . how do i pernamantly tell it to go away? . is it good for me and what does it do? thanks in advance .

You will find it in the utilities folder in your applications folder.
It stores all password include those that are associated with your computer
passwords such as admin and user passwords.

It also store web certificates for different websites, etc.

You can use it to store websites or app passwords and either store your keychain
data locally or online.

In general, keychain is for your computer to remember passwords and such.

Your keychain has a master password.

When you pull your keys out of your pocket, that is akin to opening the master password. The software then selects the key for your door. Then you are not fumbling around for passwords.
