I have a 3G Ipad 2 with an AT&T SIM in it.

If I get a 4G Ipad3 with an AT&T SIM in it, I can swap the SIM ans share the same account between two iPads? If I use the 3G SIM in the new iPad, do I connect on 3G or 4G (the new iPad would be a 4G model, no?).
