for the same set of software you'd get if you'd just spend $2,500 for the Master Suite collection.

I understand the a la carte approach to the Cloud thing. I suppose it has it's merits if you ONLY use Illustrator or ONLY use InDesign (there is a premium for Photoshop users, natch). But even if you only use a couple of their applications, it will still amount the same cash you'd spend if you just bought the suite in the first place. What this essentially amounts to is "financing" for poor design students who can't possibly cough up the full price for software, but hope they'll have the discipline to take the first $50 of each freelance job each month and put it in their special "Adobe" escrow account.

Maybe I'm missing something.

Like bandwidth and unlimited storage.

I need to learn more about this.

Access to the web is paramount and I pay way too much for that already.

i get it free for 1 year cuz i went to adobemax last year. (which was fun)
i was really expecting twice that. i think it will be interesting. if you are web, i recommend it. they are doing a lot of stuff for web.
