Related: About this forumQuestion about removing music from iPad
My plan was to keep my music on the iPod and not put it on the iPad. But in spite of telling it to to, it downloaded all my music to my iPad. Now I would like to remove it so I can install pages (not enough room).
Is there a way to "bulk" remove musicall of it at once or even just entire albums at once? I know I can remove individual tracks, but that is really tedious. And, I want to keep it off the iPad and keep it on the iPod. Must be a way to do that.

(68,461 posts)If so, do a back-up of your device then wipe it clean. Do a restore but choose to not restore the music.
I *think* you can do that, but I'm not certain.

That's what I did when I realized that my iPad didn't have room for both my music and my TV shows. I deleted the music from the iPad, since it's the superior option for video, and put all the music on the iPhone.

(20,886 posts)I'm not sure specifically what I did, but I now have Pages on my iPad. The puzzling thing is, I still have all the music on it even though it looked like I removed it.
