Ubuntu 14.10 flavors

http://ubuntuportal.com/2014/10/ubuntu-14-10-utopic-unicorn.html

Looking at this it makes me wonder if the folks at Ubuntu are seeing the writing on the wall concerning Unity. We have a gnome version to download and a Mate version where previously that wasn't the case. I'm using the Mate version and it is working great. It boots from cold to desktop ready to go in 24 seconds and this is on an old 486 computer I bought new back in December of 2000. Mind you I have a SSD that I have the program on but its on a motherboard with only sata1

What is it you don't like about Unity? I don't get it. I have no problem with it at all. L0oniX Oct 2014 #1

I have the gnome version on another drive and I don't see an advantage or disadvantage.
