A senator's seniority is primarily determined by length of continuous service.

Ossoff is just a pup. A very formidable pup that I am going to enjoy watching him using his investigative journalism skills in the Senate.

Thompson-R won the Special Election. Frist-R won the Regular Election.
Thompson-R was the Senior US Senator. Frist-R was the Junior US Senator.
Warnock-D won the Special Election. Ossoff-D won the Regular Election.
