It is shaping up to be a Cuomo-filled week for President Obama.
Today Obama is in Buffalo, New York, to start a bus tour about colleges and education. The tour will continue through central New York and down to Pennsylvania. In Buffalo this morning, Obama called New York Governor Andrew Cuomo one of the finest Governors in the country.
Also today, Obama will sit down with Governor Cuomos brother, CNN anchor Chris Cuomo, for an exclusive interview to air tomorrow on New Day. The two will discuss his plans to lower college costs, as well as, the major international and domestic stories affecting American security and life, per CNN.
Thanks Cha!

(305,484 posts)Inherited it from my Gramfeathers. That would be a great grandmother -
I have FULL newspapers from Armistice Day, D-Day (NY Times), Sally Ride (she was still alive then). I have to my shame a CYANA cigar (to her shame as well) that her father handed out while running for office in Colorado, suffragist documentation (her mother was one) and a full NY Times when she and my great grandfather stopped in NYC on their way back from a trip to France and got arrested at a speak easy!

(305,484 posts)"Washington -- The White House confirmed today that President Barack Obama plans to end the first day of his Upstate New York bus tour by staying overnight in Auburn.
The Auburn visit has been widely speculated, with reports of street closings in the city and a large security presence in recent days.
But White House officials did not confirm a Post-Standard report that the president will likely stop at the Harriet Tubman Home and Seward House Museum in Auburn for an unannounced visit."
There's more..

(4,309 posts)Awesome videos and photos. Just goes to show that the "enthusiasm gap" is just wishful thinking on the part of the RW.
Cha
(305,484 posts)that gets eaten up with jealousy because so many people appreciate this President.

Like Elvis Costello once sang, "I used to be disgusted, now I try to be amused." This President has one hell of a lot of support, thankfully. His critics are loud but are in the minority, in my opinion. In my own experience, more people are seeing the wisdom of his vision all the time, even my (formerly) RW sister!

(4,309 posts)I kept telling little sis she was too smart and too nice a person to support Romney. Had many a conversation with her, sent her e-mails, sent her pro-Obama material on Facebook and thought I was getting nowhere. One day, out of the blue, she asked if I could get her an "Obama 2012" magnet or sticker for her car. I was a little shocked but oh so happy! The RW slamming of Sandra Fluke was the last straw for her. She's a Catholic but she believes in birth control/choice and she was very impressed with the way President Obama stood up for Ms. Fluke. Her "Reagan Republican" husband is still a bit stunned but I am thrilled to have my sister on our side!!!

(2,770 posts)how many people show up at Obama events just to tell him how "disappointed" they are with his presidency.
Cha
(305,484 posts)"betrayal" and "disappointment" and start yelling "we love you!" and acting like they appreciate him. PBO must have a magic wand up his sleeve.. something's going on. Not quite sure what but I keep watching out for it.
