Franklin Lecture Series serves as inspiration for women’s history at CSKYWLA

The ribbon-cutting ceremony that preceded the lecture served as a family reunion of sorts. Two of Dr. King’s children — Southern Christian Leadership Conference President-elect Bernice King and activist Martin Luther King III — and several other relatives joined in the ceremony. King III and his wife, Arndrea, helped their daughter, Yolanda Renee King, cut the ribbon as the crowd cheered.

Some details on Yolanda Renee King.. she is 5 years old, named after King's daughter who passed on, the daughter of MLK III, and she's MLK's only grandaughter.

One thing that's true is the poignancy of MLK's granddaughter and Pres Barack Obama together on stage honoring her grandfather, Martin Luthur King. Beautiful!

it will be interesting to see what Sasha and Malia will be interested in around college time. Ha, they have some heavy footprints to fill with both parents so educated and knowledgable. I think they'll do something good. Hope I'm still around to see some of it. Thanks Cha for the pics...

know what the Obamas are doing after they leave the White House.
