One thing I know --

When it comes to the mess in Syria, one thing I do know for certain: I am not privy to the deep information that is available to the President.

Nor do I believe that he has been assimilated by some Borg-like culture that makes him worthy of the strident vituperations with which he is being barraged. He would have to have received a complete personality transplant -- erasing the totality of his memory and personal history -- in order to be the evil and betraying monster he is accused of being.

The information available to the public is undeniably horrific. But the President’s response must also take into account that information which is not in the public domain. Same for Kerry. And it may be that they are, in part, protecting some necessary conduits of information that have not yet been exposed by Snowden.

At this point, I still trust this President. He has said or done nothing to indicate that he has become someone other than the person we worked so hard to elect. He is not a reiteration of George Bush, who was talking about making war on Iraq while he was still Governor of Texas; Barack Obama did not achieve the Oval Office with the intent to wage war on Syria. There is a difference. And unless or until President Obama prances around in a sock-stuffed flight suit, I will continue to trust his judgment.

When Barack Obama deals w/#Syria by invading the wrong country and giving $39Bil to Joe Biden's old company then we can compare it to Iraq.1:50 PM - 4 Sep 2013

Let's make this clear, the thing preventing us from spending money on the US is not Syria. It is the GOP and only the GOP.5:51 AM - 5 Sep 2013

Anyone thinking they know more than this President and our SOS are delusional. The comparison to Bush-Cheney absurd.

Rest easy. This president is much more inclined to 'walk softly and carry a big stick'. No pun intended, honest! I swear!

Yet the bad guys (American and otherwise) had better learn to beware the wrath of a patient man.
