Holy Crap, I step away from DU for a week and

This discussion thread was locked as off-topic by DevonRex (a host of the Barack Obama group).

wow. The people who never liked Obama have cranked it up to a full blown shit fit of hate. He and Kerry are liars and the only debate is how early it should have been obvious to everyone. Calls for impeachment and just fucking outright insanity. I will say the "he has lost my trust" postings from people who have been dumping on him since 08 are kind of amusing.

But my God. What a fucking loony bin.

But about this single act of Obama,. I neither love or hate him, he is a person, some times I will agree, other times I will disagree. Do not like being classified as a hater because I disagree on this particular topic. No, one, even me, is 100% right all the time.

and the rage being expressed might be an extension of it.

Then again, it might be due to a feeling of being duped by people who listened to his rhetoric and didn't check up on his voting history.

I sincerely hope the Clown Congress does something right and votes against more intervention in the Middle East. Doing the right thing for the wrong reason (pure spite) is still doing the right thing.

It's really unfair. The guys at the top make decisions based on what the intelligence gathering agencies tell them and we in workaday land know how reliable they've been in the past.

However, presidents and secretaries of state need to rely on often bad information from men with agendas contrary to the good of the country.

The rudeness and hatred goes both ways,. i don't think we can generalize one way or another, there are Obama supporters who believe to disagree is to hate and feel free to attack the disagreeing person. And there is always a person on the other side. I find it is useful to not take it persona, I have said things myself that were thoughtless and could easily be interpreted harshly, so mea culpa to that. I try not to, but no one is perfect.

a debate about a "single act by Obama".

This is about every single thing Obama has ever said, done, didn't say, or failed to do since the day he took office.

The posters who are calling Obama a blood-thirsty warmonger on the Syria issue are the SAME posters who have been calling him a lyin' shill for the RW, a Trojan Horse, a Manchurian candidate, a water-carrier for the 1%, etc., since his first inauguration.

And yet they ALL allegedly canvassed for him, donated money to his campaigns, and voted for him twice.

These people are so desperate to post anti-Obama news articles, they are now posting links to RW rags like The Daily Caller and The Blaze, fer fuck's sake.

I have to give credit where it's due, though. The RW trolls who started infesting DU, after the rule changes that allowed for "any criticism of Obama" to be posted here, have done what they set out to do - followed by the anti-Obama sheeple who mindlessly follow the lead of anyone who shares their hatred of this man.

While these posters keep screaming that the Democratic Party has moved to the right, they are completely oblivious to the fact that this SITE has been moved to the right - and the abundance of RW talking points being posted here on a daily basis are the proof thereof.

It's about this single act by Obama - my ass.

Please stop it. That sorry-ass insinuation is so lame.

99% of the people on DU BELIEVED & VOTED FOR Obama at one point,
took him at his word, that he was the "peace, hope & change" guy.

But then, you already knew that. So why do you post this tripe?

The mission of the Barack Obama Group is to discuss information and news about the life, career, accomplishments, and presidency of Barack Obama; to provide a haven for those members of Democratic Underground who support the president and his policies; to discuss President Obama's policy positions, speeches, interviews, and other public appearances; to discuss President Obama's political campaigns; and to discuss the causes which President Obama has championed, including health care reform and ending the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq.

Those who have a generally negative view of President Obama and his administration, support his defeat in the 2012 presidential election (in primaries or the general election), or who are generally supportive of those who do, are not welcome in the Barack Obama Group.

It's one thing to post in reply, another to make an OP. I advise you delete before the 'Obomber, Obummer, Obama same as Bush' crowd arrives.

I read the forums this morning and 'Obomber' was allowed to stay with cheers by the jury, and incorrect OPs are being Rec'd but I do not alert in the forums.

This is NOT a forum, it is a safe haven group with rules that do not allow people to come here and bash us or the President. We don't want it here, please don't invite them.

Grantcart would lock this, and I'm asking you to stop this OP now. I'm not a host, but am speaking as a fellow member of the BOG. I understand your frustration, but you did not specify this as a BOG post and I don't think it's useful to our group.

Just My Humble Opinion.
