It's really unfair. The guys at the top make decisions based on what the intelligence gathering agencies tell them and we in workaday land know how reliable they've been in the past.

However, presidents and secretaries of state need to rely on often bad information from men with agendas contrary to the good of the country.

The rudeness and hatred goes both ways,. i don't think we can generalize one way or another, there are Obama supporters who believe to disagree is to hate and feel free to attack the disagreeing person. And there is always a person on the other side.
