Here I think the SS is just confident. With new technology and all, it is probably pretty safe and so we can think of it as Biden being under the same amount of protection.

I hadn't heard about bush and cheney's non-relationship. But, I can't imagine bush being too happy with being the puppet for the first years.. if the strings ever were cut.

(123,119 posts)But it was mentioned in a few places today. There is a new book out. Though I do recall Cheney and Rumsfield bought retirement houses not far from each other while they were still in office....... located a few thousand miles from Bush in Texas. I thought at the time it was telling.
