We're having a proper Rainstorm!

(87,491 posts)I am glad you are getting your rain. It has been so cold here. Miserable at work too. We freeze in my department, I have worn a coat and scarf 3 times this week. My hands are turning blue.
We have work to do, Cha!
GOTV 2014!
We vote here for Katherine Clark for Congress in, yikes 12 days!

(305,412 posts)time for nothin' but hard work and pressing ahead.
It looks like Katherine Clark has been working hard to get her message out, she.. and, it doesn't seem like there's much enthusiasm for the republicon in Markey's old District.. who knew?
I barely remember the cold now but when I was in it all those years I was feeling it to my bones. At the first of the Season it was all cozy and everything but then it drags on and on.
Not good when our work place is saving on the heating bill, though! Brrrrr!
I just took a hot Epic Epsom Salt bath and it felt like I was back in the hot springs in Colorado. It felt really good and relaxing. Have you ever used it? I just got turned on to it recently.. now I'm buying it by the 1/2 gallons. Not expensive.
Your home is warm enough, right? My place in NY was too big to heat the whole thing and I just heated my bedroom when it got really cold. Good times.

Well that's also what good leaders are for. They are role models and also real people (not deities). And if we are thoughtful (self-reflective), we can look to their examples for inspiration.

(87,491 posts)I hope you had a lovely Thanksgiving.
So inspirational, you are so right. He is taking us forward.

(20,219 posts)He is a great leader.
And anyone can choose to relate as to a mentor. A good mentor wants you to look to the example he or she lives. He or she wants you to walk alongside (not behind), and encourages you to keep going, even when you don't want to.
Hope yours was lovely too!

(87,491 posts)Words of wisdom from you Blanche, as always.
I cooked for thanksgiving in the smallest kitchen that you can imagine, it was great.
I love my family~

It's rooted in the teachings of Shakyamuni Buddha's Lotus sutra and the practice and teachings of Nichiren Daishonin, who renewed buddhism in Japan during the 13th century.
World peace through dialogue, humanism, culture, education and personal growth.
I've been home with a cold. Grateful my favorite food store's nearby! Got meds and soups and treats. Been takin good care of myself and snuggling up with Shrimpy. It's really been very peaceful.

(28,645 posts)is to be patient.
When everyone's running around with their hair on fire, I just sit back and wait; because I know he will work it out to the best of his ability.
I also know that he is not in total control of Washington DC, so I can't expect all my wishes to come true.
I know that he might say some things to Republicans that are upsetting to Liberals, but I believe that is how he traps them.
I gotta admit, he can trap them good! Real good!
Since they're mad all the time, the least we can do is to give them something real to be mad about!
He makes me smile, but I wish his time in office were more easier for him; and his family, too.
"Please proceed ..."

(87,491 posts)I knew. I knew it from the beginning. Even when my friends were unsure and in despair. There was a ground swell that was happening. You could feel it and just about hear it. He won it hands down. He won it twice.
I never doubt that he will do what is right for us. I never underestimate the man. He has our backs.
