Barack Obama
Related: About this forumWe are lucky
to have President Obama at the helm at this point in history. He's got so many balls in the air, and is handling them wonderfully imo.
Mideast, Ukraine, immigrants, elections, add your own. I'm grateful for him, diplomacy and cooler minds.

(31,849 posts)I'll add ... more than a few "progressives/liberals" that really, really are the Democratic base because they claim to have voted for President Obama, twice ... But have not had a single positive word about him or his presidency since January, 2009.

(87,545 posts)Spot on! They feel they voted ( if they did) and their job was done. They just wanted their pony, free and clear no strings attached. No work no effort no getting off ones ass for the midterms. And absolutely NO support of this President.
That's not how it works as we well know.

(87,545 posts)You said it right the first time! Some of us did get our pony, we got this President elected twice and yes we did vote for him both times. We also believe in him to do the right thing in the most impossible times. So many have their hair on fire at all times, nothing is ever good enough. The negative threads amaze me here on DU.
That is our pony there...he is backing up to take another leap at that stone wall. This time we are going over. We are going to win in 2014, 1SBM. We are going to fly over that wall.
I believe, I really do. We win with that thought.
And, nah, you have never made DU suck IMHO~
