(72,528 posts)Similar photo ops when W. was President were always cringing-ly awkward. For all that members of his sycophantic peanut gallery talked of his 'charm', Dubya had the interpersonal skills of a three-toe sloth.
Love our President!

(72,528 posts)The BOG is my home-away-from-home here at DU. Just as DU provided a safe haven for liberals during the awful B*sh years, so the BOG is a safe haven for Barack Obama supporters away from faux DU-member concern trolls, and pissy 'Obama didn't give me my rainbows and unicorns' types.

(320,703 posts)Obama leaned over so he could have easy access. That's our President.. always trying to accommodate.
Then to balance it out I'm sure he asked young Blake Diego if he could touch his spike.
That about the size of it?
Mahalo for the pics, she, of President Obama once again relating to our future generation.
That's about the size of it Cha~
Have a great day. I am off to work in a few...

Kick in to the DU tip jar?
This week we're running a special pop-up mini fund drive. From Monday through Friday we're going ad-free for all registered members, and we're asking you to kick in to the DU tip jar to support the site and keep us financially healthy.
As a bonus, making a contribution will allow you to leave kudos for another DU member, and at the end of the week we'll recognize the DUers who you think make this community great.
