You've got a friend~

One of the best renditions of this song. I love Carole King.

I am posting this for a few reasons, some I will leave unsaid. One I will state, I love the members of the BOG and those that do not consider yourselves a Bogger, I thank you for all your beautiful comments.

It is in bad times and sad times that we pull together. Yes they will take your soul if you let them, yet we don't let them.

Sweet sweet hugs to the BOG!

ya know, i met him for the first time when he was running for the senate. and i swear if i ever get the chance to talk to him again, he will remember that night, and me.
not because of who i am, but because of who HE is.

know so many folks that knew him back when. i know he is the person that i see. because they showed me who he is.

this song was a favorite of mine as well. i played it so much on the home stereo - singing my heart out - that many, many years later - nearly 40, my mom, in the early stages of alzheimer's, called to have me hear it playing in the background. she had found that old album and was enjoying 'remembering'. her call was sweet.

and, sweet hugs back at you.

their own kids. I imagine the process scares the kids too. Thing is, the Alzheimer's sufferer still knows that somebody is caring for them even if they don't know who. That matters.

we have had incredible experiences with our mom. she is now in her 22nd year of the diagnosis. she no longer speaks and after several strokes, is still "with" us off and on. her eyes speak volumes and she still cries when i leave. i do not understand this disease - every one of her siblings (7) had the same diagnosis.
