The GOP meme that the midterms were a referendum on President Obama is bullshit

That's merely them trying to tarnish his legacy before his term as even ended. Everyone who voted for Republicans were people who always hated Democrats and the President.

With his supporters (who are the majority, thank you very much), his legacy is safe and sound.

The midterms, if anything, were a confirmation that our entire political system has been sabotaged by decades of voter disenfranchisement. It began with the Republicans, of course, just check out the Powell Memo. But Big Money decided to play both sides against the middle and have infiltrated Democrats as well, by a much smaller extent, of course.

Never forget that whatever the President does or doesn't do, the Republicans are always going to say that he's wrong. His executive actions will be depicted as "tyranny," even if they are all precedented. His public statements will be called "narcism," even if he speaks in terms of "we" and "us" instead of "me" and "I." Everything that they think up will be used to lodge non-existent scandals against him, even if they investigate those so-called "scandals" and find that they have no merit. Crazy wingers will take those fantasies and run with them, even if they have no proof outside of their own heads that he's ever done anything wrong. And most of all, when you regard everything that they do, it proves that just about all of them are pretty fucking racist. (If you're having a bit of problem with me classifying all of them as racist, I'm prepared to debate that point.)

Most of all, the things that they say about the President only exists within their own echo chamber, for their own benefit.

Living in the real world for them is an anathema. It's just plenty sickening to see that they've poisoned the well for everyone else as well.

having the majority in the senate. Out of 300 million people...we have a fringe unit deposed to take America back a few years. Roll back those regulations...roll back Obamacare. Why? Because he's black. It has never been about anything else...but you know what? They aren't afraid to admit it! They were born under a different moon and I have pity on them because their one time on earth was spent being flung into a corner like monkey shit. I am not a Republican and cannot figure out for the life of me why their hatred toward others have no boundries. 4 billion spent on garbage. The polls spoke. IOWA spoke...they sent a pig ball handler to congress. I can't wait to see what Ernst does on her first day. Fondle McConnell?

The rich Republican voters are too fucking greedy and they won't even be satisfied with everything, they have the means to buy our government and have done some. The poor Republican voters are their dupes. Not only are they poisoned on our system of government, because it's unfairly balanced toward the rich, they want it to be even less fair, because that want it to work against everyone that they've been taught to hate; minorities, women, the poor, immigrants and so on.

The poor ones are not only hated, but they're complete morons who just too fucking stupid to know how moronic they actually are… And they don't even care, because they think that stupidity is a god-given virtue that they're entitled to inflict on the world around themselves.

Racism, of course, plays a huge role in how these wingers think. They believe that they're entitled to their own racism as well, not to mention their adherence to patriarchy. Those idiots are protected politically by redistricting.

I say that since that there are more of us than there are of them, we should resettle where they live and create a demographic shift. It's not all that hard. For example, I live at the very edge of a congressional district with a GOPer congress critter. Culturally and politically, where I live is no different from the next door district with a Democrat. As long as I live where I am, I'm always going to be a sure fire vote against my Republican congressperson. Redistricting only occurs after the census is taken, so we've got six more years to make some changes.

We need to invade Red State America and turn it bright purple.

I know that very few people want to hear that, but it's quite clear that we're doing ourselves a grave disservice by not using our superior numbers. We're all bunched together in urban areas and what good good is that doing for us?

We know that. They know that. What they do to win elections is pure b.s. and voter suppression.

What gets out the senior voter? That's who votes in midterms come hell or high water. I saw this last night.... They watch FNC, and vote accordingly for hawks and their own Social Security. I don't think they care about the security of future Americans.

And keep in mind how many midterm voters suffer from dementia. They're still glued to the tv while everyone else is grappling with reality.
