That guy is so arrogant: Obama nails it in hilarious Colbert Report hijack
BARACK Obama showed that even a president can laugh at himself when he took Stephen Colberts seat on the comedians popular show.
The audience loved every minute, roaring with laughter throughout his performance on the satirical politics show.
The President presented The Colbert Reports recurring segment The Word, in which the host rants to camera as sarcastic words appear onscreen.
As he details the popularity of his healthcare scheme, the onscreen text observes: Half as popular as Grumpy Cat.

Loved the snow bear!

(87,490 posts)You would cringe if you saw some here.
The icicles on the side of the house. Terrifying. Some are six feet long, melded together. I can hardly see out of one side of my apartment. Watching for cracks in the ceiling. Already have leaks between the windows. Scared if the snow this weekend turns to rain, it will make the burden on the roof heavier. Yes I rent, yet if it caves, I have no insurance. Can't afford it.

(23,156 posts)I mean no disrespect, but he seriously needs to consider a career in stand-up once his current gig ends. I think, just based on watching various things, that timing is crucial. Without that, you won't succeed. Obama has the timing. He also is willing to poke fun at himself, which I think is also crucial to comedy. Yeah, you can make a career of poking fun at lots of other things, but if you take your own self too seriously, you're just a pompous jerk.
I have a son who has done some stand-up, and his best bits are the ones that poke fun at himself in some way. And as good as I think my kid is, he's got a ways to go before he can compete with Barack Obama at an open mike night.
