Did President Obama Just Have a Very Good Week?

Americans' favorable ratings of President Barack Obama now stand at 53%, up four points from March. This comes after a year in which these ratings were mostly below 50% and marks the president's highest score since September 2013.

Now add in latest "Job Approval" poll!

"Gallup tracks daily the percentage of Americans who approve or disapprove of the job Barack Obama is doing as president."

As of May 23, 49% approve! 47% disapprove. +2 for Obama!

Independents' Favorable Ratings of Obama Surge Since Last Fall

Obama's favorable rating in the May 6-10 poll reflects increases compared with November 2014 among Democrats (90%) and independents (52%). Republicans, on the other hand, continue to be chilly toward the president; their favorable ratings of Obama have been largely flat at low levels since last fall.

I only have 4 posters in full ignore, but they are the Untouchables, if you know what I mean. I just flag others with "block mail" -- and thanks to you I gave them a look and was pleasantly surprised to find that 4 were permanently gone and 3 are on temporary hiatus. Looks like MIRT sprayed the room with Troll-Be-Gone in April.

When I returned here after my own self imposed two year vacation I didn't put anyone on ignore for a long time. However the crap that's been going on over the last 6+ months was wearing on my last nerve, so a couple of months ago I started using the system to flag certain posters, in part to see if anyone else actually agreed with my gut about them. The first one I put on full ignore was an old timer with a permanent grudge who is nonetheless popular. As I say, I only have a small number in that status because they are not worth the aggravation to me; sadly, I can still see them on the front page.
