Obama Tours in Hawaii

As Obama quickly gained national attention in his bid to become the next President of the United States, there immediately started to pop up Obama tourism in Hawaii. Trying to profit from the immense popularity of the new American political figure, tour operators began offering up packages that showcased some of Obama’s birthplace, childhood hangouts, the apartment he shared with his grandparents and more..

Obama was:

Raised in an atmosphere of Trust and Toleration...and Welcoming, all of which reflected the Hawaiian spirit. The Aloha spirit. In Hawaii, diversity defines us, rather than divides us. I don't think I have the exact quote...however I am close.

Oh yes, he is the son of Hawaii.

He became our President, he has brought to us the Aloha Spirit. I for one am grateful!

how reflective PBO is of how he was raised in Hawai'i. Which explains Michelle's statement: "To understand Barack you need to understand Hawai'i"

It's certainly a POTUS' history I can relate to!

Hawaii will always be home for President Barack Obama. There can be no doubt that growing up in this idyllic, multicultural setting was a major influence in shaping who Obama is today.

Kamaaina: Local at Heart
The Hawaiian word kamaaina means someone who is native born or who has lived in Hawaii for some time. When Barack Obama returns to Hawaii with his family, he comes as a kamaaina, a local who knows where to go, where to eat and what to do. Here are a few places President Obama has visited on his trips back to Oahu:
