Some of President Obama's one liners at the White House Correspondent's dinner:
I'm not the strapping young muslim socialist like I used to be.
I admire the DC press corps covering all sides of an issue, just in case one of them happens to be accurate.
I'm taking my charm offensive on the road... a book burning with Michele Bachmann.
Some have suggested we put my library in my birthplace, but I'd rather keep it in the US.
He also suggested that while the GOP works on their minority outreach (pointing to himself) they might start by reaching out to him...

(87,578 posts)Excellent!
His dear sweet compassion to West Texas and Boston Mass. brought tears to my eyes. He gave praise to the first responders, their selfless reaction to help those that had fallen. Many died in West Texas, however they did their jobs, they stood for the people of Texas, they stood for what was right. The responders in Boston did not die as the firefighters did in Texas. However they did not know their peril when they raced to help.
Thank you Mr President for your support and compassion for all of us in Texas and Massachusetts.
Boston and Texas Strong!

That Michele Bachmann line was pretty good too I guess but if you're from Minnesota it's not so funny.

(25 posts)She's certainly good for a laugh, I just meant it's sad we haven't been able to get rid of her yet.

(26,624 posts)real world of human resources risks, men would loose their jobs for these comments towards women... No matter how innocent they think it is.. The reasoning being, it is not what you say, but how it is interpreted... And I'm glad that he was able to highlight the trouble he received for his comments, and how he was able to move forward....

O'Brien was pretty good too - he sure knows the lines to cross for some gasps interspersed with laughs. lol.
