Oh poor, poor Paul Ryan!

House Republicans voted to gut the Independent Ethics Office
and Speaker Ryan just managed to get run over on both sides
of the issue.

First, he was against it:

Then, he was for it:

And then:

Republicans back off gutting of House ethics office after critical Trump tweet (LBN)

GOP caves and withdraws plan to gut the Office of Congressional Ethics after brutal backlash (LBN)

And now an appropriate musical piece to express my sympathy...

Mr. Ryan has such a nice crew of brigands to lead.

He can gut Medicare and Social Security to make a "Better America."

That has been his wet dream since he first fell in love with Ayn Rand. Other issues be damned.
