Jones-D represents a solid Republican state. Trump-R carried AL in 2016 by a 28 percent margin. Jones-D is a moderate Democrat like Manchin-WV.
Gardner-R represents a lean Democratic state. Clinton-D carried CO in 2020 by a 5 percent margin. Gardner-R is a partisan conservative Republican.

Manchin had been elected several times to different offices over 4 decades. Jones doesn't have that history in Alabama. I believe Gardner will lose, as I do Jones will as well (unless judge roy is the candidate again)
